Those of you who have a newer iPhone and recently updated to iOS 18.2 may have noticed the considerable interface changes in the default Mail app. Following in the steps of Gmail, Apple has begun to sort your inbox into various categories such as Primary, Transactions, and Promotions. Many of my clients would rather not have an algorithm deciding what emails you see first, but others find it a way to make themselves more efficient. If you are in the former camp, you can easily turn this feature off by tapping the three-dot button in the top right corner and choosing List View. Another gripe about this uninvited feature: the category buttons take up considerable space on the screen, especially if you have increased the default screen font to make text easier to read.
